About Our Brand 

Why Moose? We chose to incorporate moose into our company name because the moose is an iconic Canadian symbol which reflects that we are a fully Canadian company, for Canadians. Not only that but we love how dynamic the moose is. It is a big and fierce animal, yet also timid and shy. It is powerful yet has so much mobility. It can jump over a fence and yet it can walk through a lake and not disturb the lily-pads. This represents the kind of mobility we want to encompass. Our goal is to empower customers to believe that they can have mobility and do the things that bring them joy no matter what circumstances they currently live in.

We are here to keep you on the move — because you are worth it. With a wide variety of powered and non-powered mobility products available, you will be able to find what you need to live in freedom, comfort, and confidence. 

Barry founded Moose Mobility Scooter Corp. in 2013 with a mission to provide everybody the opportunity for mobility. He believes that mobility is all about freedom, and freedom creates joy. One of Moose’s key values is to provide excellent service — life can be fun and enjoyable, but not when your scooter or powerchair breaks down! That is why Moose is a Canadian company that offers premium products matched with premium service.

When Barry is not in the office or the shop, he is usually listening to music, playing music, making music, or playing his guitar and drums! He also enjoys being active, whether it be an outdoor run or fishing out on the lake.

Kat has been part of the Moose team for several years but has been working in the role of Marketing and E-commerce Manager since 2020. She spends the majority of her days working behind a desk doing background tasks but gets most excited when it is time to create content and bring joy and fun into the mobility industry. Kat graduated with a Diploma in Business Administration concentrated in Management from SAIT in Calgary. She excels in organization and creating structures and processes that allow everyone on the team at Moose to thrive in their positions.

When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time outside on walks, sitting in the sun doing cross-stitch, working out, snuggling with her cat Leo, or hanging out with friends.

Jamie is known by his passion for traveling the globe to explore new places, which is why he enjoys helping people regain their freedom of mobility. He has been with Moose Mobility as the Edmonton Store Manager since March 2022.

When he’s not in the office or on a plane, Jamie can usually be found outside camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, stargazing, or capturing nature through photography. Community is one of his main pillars, and he loves any excuse to hang out with his friends, whether it be for a game night, frisbee in the park, or going to see a new action movie.

Joshua started in January 2024 as the Victoria branch’s Sales and Administrative Representative. With a background of 20 years in the bicycle industry and 15 years coaching soccer, it is fair to say that he has dedicated most of his adult life to getting people moving. Joshua enjoys problem-solving and tackling all the little tasks that help things run smoothly, and ensuring that everybody who visits Moose Mobility gets exactly what they need.

In his free moments, Joshua spends most of his time watching and playing soccer, fixing bikes for friends, and birding with his wife.
